TopicWhat is SIP protocol ?

  • Tue 18th Sep 2018 - 7:17am

SIP, or Session Initiated Protocol, is the standard for integration of separate protocols into a fluid platform for communications that allows various devices and applications to work simultaneously for real time data transfer and voice calling.

Regular phone service is linear. Phone calls originate at one point and end at another point; think of it like two kids with cups on either end of a string. Occasionally other strings may tie in for conferencing, but the entire process is clumsy at best - and requires participants to be physically located on each end of the string. It's not portable, it's not convenient, and it is extremely restricted as far as features go.

If you want this service than you can contact a wholesale SIP termination provider.
